The Grumpy Monkey Coffee House
The Grumpy Monkey Coffee House is my least favourite of the lot. The coffee on offer here is very basic and poor tasting. You'd be better just buying the coffee at the university of you are thinking of visiting this shop!
I was very disappointed in the basic selection of coffee on offer. I would say that the Grumpy Monkey Coffee House is more like a basic café where grans go for their lunch rather than a "coffee house"
Pictured above is a latte, this was average at best. However, they do offer a decent selection of food; ranging from baked potatoes to paninis.
There is no Wi-Fi available and I couldn't see anywhere to charge a device so you'd be wasting your time studying here. It has a basic café atmosphere with no defining features. The staff are friendly enough although the uncomfortable seats kill the shop's potential.
The coffee house is around a 7 minute walk from The Hub, located near the train station car park and is open until 6pm Monday through Saturday.
The music is also grim!
